Humans have created a mass extinction, changing the Earth forever. As the world experiences explosions and other natural catastrophes that point to the end of the world as it was known, scientists believe the Earth can be repaired by giant creatures called the Titans, who have been in hiding for years. Now they must all be found, or the planet and humans will perish.Dr. Emma Russell (Vera Farmiga) is a paleobiologist working for the crypto-zoological agency Monarch. She believes humans and the Titans can co-exist peacefully, so she's invented a machine that enables communication with them. However, she and her 14-year-old daughter Madison (Millie Bobby Brown) are kidnapped by a mysterious organization that wants to get their hands on the technology she's created in order to traffic Titan DNA and level the global playing field.
