This rom-com inspired by the classic Christmas tune of the same name by the music group Wham! revolves around Kate (Emilia Clarke), who has a job as an elf at a year-round Christmas store. While walking around the streets of London during Christmastime, the bad decisions she's made in her life tend to leave her glum, despite the beautiful displays and sounds of cheer. That is, until she bumps into Tom (Henry Golding), a happy-go-lucky guy who seems almost too good to be true. Despite being almost complete opposites, the two find themseves attracted to what makes them different, while Tom sees through the barriers Kate has put up. For the first time in a long while, Christmastime becomes one of joy for Kate.
